お久しぶりです。パリには２度行きましたが、２度とも会えずに残念でした。オルレアンの展示にぜひ行くことができればと思っていますが、あまり期待しないでください。
さて、ようやく伊東さんの病院が完成したのですね。

＞8年に一度、隣接する家が建て替わる東京の住宅地で同じことをやっている
＞日本人建築家は、環境変化による空間の破綻をどう受け止め、どのように責任を取るのであろうか。

これは難しい問題ですね。建築家の責任だけとも思えない。
８年（？）に一度、隣接する家が建て替わる代わりに、
その家そのものも30年くらいで建て替わる。
そうして借景のいたちごっこを続けていくこともあり得るかもしれない。
少なくとも、隣接する家との関係への責任を放棄することで、
あらゆる住宅が内向する状況が健全だとは思えません。

先日、ケ・ブランリーにも行きました。
いずれその話題までブログでも行き着く予定ですが、
セーヌ川に面するあのような場所でさえ、
あんなランドスケープを成立させることができるのかと恐ろしくなりました。

でさえあのような計画が実現し、そんな場所だからこそ、
極端に言えばこれから数百年はあの状態が維持されるのかと思うと、
不思議な気分になりました。

道路を挟んだ隣地との関係はやっぱりすごいですよね。

＞最近考えている「予想できる素晴しい空間」と「予想できない新しい空間」の違いを見た気がする。　

まあ、この言葉でこの話題を考えてみると、
ヨーロッパにおける借景は「予想できる素晴しい空間」で、
東京における借景、もしくは隣地との関係を取り結ぶことは、
「予想できない新しい空間」を生み出す可能性を持つのではないかと思います。
ぼく自身はどちらを求めるということはなくて、
状況によって何れをも選択できるようにしていたいと思ってます。
